Nabil M. Lawandy Chairman, President & CEO
Dr. Lawandy is Spectra's founder and has served as Spectra's President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board since its formation in July 1996. From 1981 to 1999, Dr. Lawandy was a tenured full professor of Engineering and Physics at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Lawandy also served as the President and Chairman of the Board of SpectraDisc Corporation a spin-out affiliated with Spectra Systems Corporation. Dr. Lawandy holds a B.A. in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University (1977), an M.S. in Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University (1979), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the Johns Hopkins University (1980). He has also received a Presidential Young Investigator award, an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, a Rolex award for Enterprise, and an Samuel Slater Award for Innovation.

William Goltsos Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Goltsos has been Spectra's Vice President, Engineering, from April 2000 to the present. From September 1996 to April 2000, he served as a Senior Systems Engineer for Spectra. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1996, Dr. Goltsos served as a Staff Member of the MIT/Lincoln Laboratory's Optical Communications Group. Dr. Goltsos holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University (1987), an M.S. in Physics from Brown University (1983), and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1981).

Doug Anderson Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Anderson has been Spectra's Chief Financial Officer from January 2007 to the present. With an extensive background in financial and operations strategy for technology companies, Doug is responsible for managing all financial operations of Spectra Systems. Before coming to Spectra, Doug served as President of Bluestreak, Inc. where he was instrumental in all aspects of the company's growth since joining them in 2001. Prior to Bluestreak, Doug was responsible for all financial and accounting operations at Log On America, a publicly-traded telecom company. Prior to that, he managed financial operations at Davol, a subsidiary of C.R. Bard, a multi-billion dollar, publicly-held company. Previously, Doug spent 3 years at Ernst & Young, helping large clients with financial strategy, accounting and compliance needs. Doug holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA from the University of Rhode Island.

James Cherry Director of Authentication Systems
Mr. Cherry joined the Company in 2002 from Auspex Systems, an enterprise network data storage system business, where he had been involved in marketing and product management for seven years. Prior to that, he had worked for five years at DuPont in product management.

Dr Andrei Smuk Director of Research and Development
Dr. Smuk serves as Director of Research and Development of Spectra. He received a PhD in Physics from Brown University in 2000 and an MS in Applied Physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1994. He was appointed to his current position in 2006 and has been employed by Spectra since 2000.
